Re-styling a Juniper
This weekend it was time to re-style a juniper I have had from my very first bonsai lesson with John Hanby. I chose this tree on a beginners course in 19?? and it has been growing healthily ever since without really finding a good shape or style.
Recently I have decided that this tree could be a full cascade and so it has gone into a tall pot and I have made a few unconvincing styling attempts.
Now I tried again. I started last weekend and completed the general styling this weekend.
Here are some historical photos of this tree:

Repotting a Larch.
Today I re-potted this Larch. It certainly was due and I hope it will start to grow much better in fresh soil. As can be seen from the photos below, the poor thing seems to struggle to make any progress each year (which is my fault of course!).

Lets hope this is the start of some real improvement.
